A traffic stop for erratic driving in Troy led to the arrest of two men for felony drug delivery on Aug. 31.
According to court documents, David Woods, 27, of the first block of Emerald Ct. in Moscow Mills, was driving on the wrong side of the roadway on Lyons Drive when the vehicle was stopped.
After failing to provide a driver’s license or insurance, Woods was asked to exit his vehicle. While conducting a pat down of Woods, the officer noticed a bulge in his pocket, which turned out to be a medicine bottle containing approximately 17 grams of methamphetamine, along with several empty clear bags a plastic bag containing three oxycodone pills. Police also found two knives in Woods’ pocket.
The passenger in Woods’ vehicle, identified as John Rust, 29, of the 1800 block of Hwy. W in Foristell, was also arrested for drug delivery.
Police found a digital scale with crystal-like residue, several empty clear plastic bags, including one containing one gram of methamphetamine, and a clear glass smoking pipe with burn residue behind the passenger seat. According to police, the items were located in a position where only Rust could easily access them.
