Virgil Creech

Virgil Roland Creech, 84, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 at SSM Hospital-St. Charles.

He was born on Aug. 29,1929 in Lincoln County to Alvie and Kate (Briscoe) Creech.

After attending the local schools, Virgil enlisted in the U.S. Navy and worked as an air traffic controller until he was honorably discharged. He met Sally Eggering and they were later married on Aug. 22, 1953, in Old Monroe. To this union were born five children: Clay, Cletus, Lori, Marie and Clint. Virgil was a good provider for his family and had worked at Phil Beck Motors in Troy for 42 years as a parts manager. He had been active in St. Vincent De Paul, Lincoln County Right to Life, American Legion Post, and 60-year member of Sacred Heart Parish in Troy.

Virgil is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sally Creech, of Troy, two sons: Clay and wife, Cindy, Creech of Keytesville, Cletus and wife, Tracy Creech, of Troy, two daughters: Lori and husband, Jim Nett, of Troy, Marie and husband Rick Lawrence of Perry, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his two brothers: James Creech, of Troy, Vincil and wife, Mary Lou Creech,of St. Charles, two sisters-in-law: Donna Eggering, of Brookfield and Helen Creech, of St. Charles.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral & Cremation Ctr, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379. Visitation will also be held on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy, MO.

Interment will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Troy with full military honors.

Memorials may be made to the Lincoln County Right to Life c/o McCoy-Blosssom Funeral & Cremation Ctr, Troy.
