Winfield evens record

On April 5, Winfield hosted Warrenton in GAC North Conference play. Coping with a variety of injuries, Winfield again struggled to mount much of an offensive attack. Warrenton scored three goals in the first half, and added one more in the second half. Winfield lost by a final score of 4-0.
Lydia Lang played the full 80 minutes as Winfield’s goalkeeper, and made 12 saves in the effort.
On April 9, Winfield hosted North County Tech. Winfield found the back of the net early and often in this contest, scoring 10 goals in the first half. The second half was not played. Winfield won the game by the final score of 10-0.
Winfield’s goals were scored by Liz Scott, who scored two goals (her fourth and fifth goals of the season), Destiny McClintock, who scored two goals (her fourth and fifth goals of the season), Hailey Barth, two goals (her first and second goals of the season), Sydney Piotrowicz, two goals (her first and second goals of the season), Bre Burkemper (her second goal of the season), and Shawna Lavy (her first goal of the season).
Winfield players earning assists included Terra Winters (2), Audrey Wehde (2), Burkemper, McClintock, Lavy, and Hailey Barth.
Lang played the full 40 minutes as Winfield’s goalkeeper and made two saves to earn her first solo shut-out of the season.
