Winfield loses game to Warrenton

The Warrenton Warriors jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never trailed in a 51-26 win over Winfield in high school football. They built their lead to 28-0 before Winfield got on the board on a three-yard run by Collin Sutton.
Warrenton, holding a 31-6 lead at the half, scored a safety and a touchdown, increasing their lead to 45-6. Winfield got on the board again before the end of the third on a 230 yard pass from Sutton to Lane Moody. Brandon Resto scored on a one-yard run Chase Rankin caught a pass from Sutton for another touchdown.
Sutton was held to 54 yards on 232 carries and he completed 17 of 32 passes for 2091 yards. Rankin caught eight passes for 107 yards, and Lane Moody had 63 yards in receptions.
Defensively, Kiyah Christiensen was involved in 11 tackles. Rankin recovered one fumble for Winifield.
