Winfield’s way to honor Veterans Nov. 9

The Winfield School District and Winfield Middle School, located at 207 8th Street, Winfield Mo., will be having Veterans Day events on Friday, November 9, 2012.

The Winfield School District is honored and proud to recognize Veterans on November 9, 2012.  A nearly full day of activities and events are scheduled.  The day begins with an assembly that will start in the Middle School gym at 8:45 a.m. Lunch will follow at the Middle School café and then a Veterans Parade at 12 noon, hosted by the High School. Please contact the district to RSVP. If considering attending for more than one student please list all their names so the District can acknowledge them accordingly.


08:45 a.m. Assembly of Honor at the Middle School Gymnasium

10:15 a.m. Dismiss Elementary and Intermediate Schools for lunch

10:30 a.m.      Flag Retirement Ceremony at Middle School

10:50 a.m. Lunch served at the Middle School

12:00 p.m. Begin to assemble along Parade Route from Elementary School Parking lot

12:15 p.m.      High School to lead Parade

01:30 p.m. Winfield City Park Patrick Schimmel Flag and Pole Dedication Ceremony

02:00 p.m.     Return to Schools
