Carl Poorman, 86, of Troy, MO, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab Troy, MO. He was born on November 11, 1938 in Essex, MO to Clarence and Virgie (Welch) Poorman. Carl attended the local schools and graduated from Lindberg High School. During high school, he played; basketball, baseball, football and track. He met Sally Sattell at a basketball game and they were later married on November 30, 1957 in Webster Groves, MO. To this union were born: Peggy, Michelle, Traci and Michael. Carl was the baseball coach for four years for Michael. They raised their family in St. Louis County until 1978 when they moved to Oklahoma. In 2005, Carla and Sally moved to Troy, MO to enjoy country living. His wife, children, grandchildren and extended family were very important to him and he looked forward to family special occasions.
 He is survived by his children; Peggy Poorman of Troy, MO, Michelle Poorman of Moscow Mills, MO, Traci L. Holt of Moscow Mills, MO and Michael Poorman and wife Stephanie Poorman of Jenks, OK, grandchildren; Katelyn, Hannah, Sarah and Joshua, many other family and friends.
 Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sally Poorman and his brother, Charles.
 Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy, MO 63379
