TROY – It may still be nearly six months away, but the Lincoln County Fair generated some excitement last week with the announcement of its Saturday night concert lineup.

Trace Adkins will headline the Saturday, July 12 concert, with Cooper Alan opening.

A Grammy-award nominee, Adkins recorded his first album since 1996 and has since recorded 10 additional studio albums.

During this time, Adkins chartered more than 20 singles on the Billboard country music charts including three number one hits.

He is currently touring with Blake Shelton.

Adkins has also appeared in more than 25 movies and television shows.

And while Adkins may represent the 1990s and 2000s era of country music, Cooper Alan personifies the new generation, relying on a massive digital following to promote his brand.

According to his biography, Alan is “a rising star with the spirit of a true entertainer, a penchant for outside-the-box thinking and a growing, self-built audience, Cooper Alan is an artist … willing to take country music where others have never dreamed.” A native of Winston-Salem, NC, the independent artist has racked up more than 225 million streams, a digital presence with more than 14 million followers across all social media platforms, and a touring footprint that sold over 85,000 tickets to date. After releasing Take Forever, a 5 song EP telling the real-life story behind his wedding in the Fall of 2023, Alan launched his Spring 2024 Tour, kicking off on Feb. 1, hitting markets across the United States and making his debut in Australia.

Recently named as a 2024 Pandora Ten Artist To Watch and named to the Sirius XM and Pandora 2024 Future Five List, Alan hit the ground running with single “Take Forever” climbing to number one on Sirius XM The Highway’s Hot 30 Weekend Countdown.

The Alan and Adkins concert on Saturday, Jan. 12 will close out the 2025 Lincoln County Fair, which is scheduled to start the previous Tuesday, July 8.
