Old Monroe Blackhawks 4-H Club Flies Again

OLD MONROE – This year Lincoln County has added a new 4-H club to the county.

Located in Old Monroe they are called the Blackhawks. Many years ago this club was up and running, also known as the Old Monroe Blackhawks, but due to several reasons they stopped.

Audrey Lee And Sammy Jo Nordman their club leaders have felt the need to get the club up and going again. They noticed the amount of kids from the Old Monroe area showing interest in joining 4-H so they decided to give the club another chance.

The Blackhawks held their first meeting on October 15th at the Old Monroe picnic grounds. The first meeting was well attended.

Club members learned the importance of the electoral process, as members voted on club leaders. With Keeley Kaimann as president, Caroline Burkemper as vice president, Kylie Fergusion as club secretary, Cora Martin as the treasurer, Kallie Kaimann as the Reporter/Historian, and James Roettger as the Safety Officer.

The club officers are very excited to help lead this new club. At the December meeting the club received their official 4-H Charter which made the club official.

The Old Monroe Blackhawks are also looking for sponsors to help cover the cost of club expenses. They are accepting all sponsors that they can get and are very grateful for all those who sponsor them.

If you would like to consider being a sponsor please contact club leader Audrey Lee at aleefam15@gmail.com or Club President Keeley Kaimann at keeleykaimann607@gmail.com.

The Old Monroe Blackhawks are excited to be part of the Lincoln County 4-H Community.
