MILDRED MARIE HUNTER

 Mildred Marie Hunter, 97, of Monroe City, formerly of Eolia, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Monroe City Manor Care Center in Monroe City.
 Funeral services for Mildred will be Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at New Life Christian church in Eolia with Pastor Nathan Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Eolia Community Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday, February 15th from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
 Mildred was born October 14, 1927, in Eolia, to Russell and Mable (Strothers) Martin.
 She attended and graduated from the Eolia Schools.
 On May 17, 1947, she was married to Howard Hunter. They had three sons, Martin, Jim, and Charles.
 Mildred lived the majority of her life in Eolia, working at nearby nursing homes and Lincoln County Memorial Hospital.
 Her favorite hobbies were sewing, collecting buttons and having Thursday morning breakfast with the local ladies at Calvin’s Restaurant.
 Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ray Hunter; one son, Charles Leroy Hunter; brother, Russell Martin; sister, Dorothy Graham; and niece Jonda Graham Salfen.
 She is survived by two sons, Martin Hunter of Lewistown, Idaho and James (Donna) Hunter of Monroe City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Julie (Justin) Hodgson, Russell Hunter, and Nathan (Danielle) Manning; and two great-grandchildren, Da­mon Stone, and Izabella Manning.
 Pallbearers will be George Ricks, Tyler Ricks, Terry Eivins, Danny Graham, Nathan Manning, and Damon Stone.
 Memorials may be made to New Life Christian Church or Monroe City Manor Auxiliary.
