WILMA “MUTZ” A. LAVY


July 7, 1935 – March 15, 2025

 Wilma “Mutz” A. Lavy, 89, of Troy, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Hampton Manor of Wentzville. She was born at home on July 7, 1935 in Wentzville to Henry and Nora (Giesman) Panhorst. Mutz grew up with her seven siblings and knew what sharing and thinking of others meant. She graduated from Wentzville High School.
  On November 11, 1956, she married her soulmate, Harold Lavy in Herando, Mississippi. To this union were blessed three children: Terri, Randy and Todd. Mutz was an excellent wife and mother to her family. She was very organized, had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed gardening, sunbathing and line dancing. She and Harold were big dancers and liked to attend any and all dance activities.
 Mutz had worked for 15 years at Harper & Rowe Publishing Co. in Troy. Working hard was no stranger to her, no task was too difficult. Many people have told the family that she was such a kind and friendly person, always in a good mood. Mutz will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
 Surviving are her beloved husband of 68 years, Harold Lavy; her children: Terri and husband Tim Brennan of Florissant, Randy and wife Kim Lavy of Troy and Todd and wife Penny Lavy of Warrenton. She is further survived by her five adoring grandchildren: Kelley Brennan, Kelly Burgess, Rhian­◤CO Check hyphenation◢non Lavy, Nick and Cody Werkimeister and one great-grandchild: Simon Collins; also her sister, Mil­dred Lavy of Troy; her sister-in-law, Carol Panhorst, her brother-in-laws and sister-n-laws.
 Mutz was preceded in death by six of her siblings: Dorothy Webb, Robert Panhorst, Ray Panhorst, Mary Steinbrueck, Virginia Seger and James Panhorst.
 Visitation was scheduled from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO.
 Funeral service was at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Cre­matory, Troy location. Rev. Dr. Jeffery Moore officiated. Interment followed in Troy City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice, c/o the funeral home.
