HARVEY G. KESSLER

Harvey G. Kessler, 86, of Troy, Missouri, was fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother of Church on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at The Arbors at Sugar Creek in Troy, Missouri. He was born on December 27, 1938, in Randolph County, Illinois and was the son of Frank P. and Viola C. (Laufer) Kessler. Harvey was united in marriage to Norma L. Wesbecher on August 6, 1960 in Walsh, Illinois and to this union three sons and one daughter were born.
Harvey attended Preston Elementary School, graduated from St. Henry’s High School in 1956 and continued his education at St. Henry’s Seminary College in Belleville, IL. He started his career with State Farm Insurance Company in March of 1960 in Columbia, MO, became an agent in 1973 in Florissant, MO until his retirement at the end of 2001. Harvey was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, he was a Knights of Columbus with St. Norbert in Florissant and Sacred Heart in Troy. He attended The White House Retreat for over 40 years. Harvey enjoyed serving his community through the Kiwanis of Troy, Missouri. He loved his family, going to Mass, playing golf and traveling.
Harvey is survived by his three sons and one daughter: Paul E. Kessler (Sandy) of Defiance, MO, Michael L. Kessler (Dana) of Troy, MO, Barbara A. Zeigler (Jeffrey) of San Marcos, TX and David J. Kessler (JoEllen) of Troy, MO; five brothers: Claude Kessler, Fred Kessler, Vernon Kessler, Eugene Kessler and James Kessler; grandchildren: Eric Kessler (Kaitlyn), Ethan Kessler, Kathryn Kessler, Kaylee Wischmeyer (David), Krista Dean (Thomas), Abigail Gervais (Johan), Nathaniel Zeigler (Katie), Ryan Kessler and Kassidy Kessler; great-grandchildren: Kallie Kessler, William Kessler, Michael Thomas Dean, Johan Gervais, Danie Gervais, Dakota Zeigler and Owen Harvey Zeigler; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and Linksman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Viola Kessler, his wife, Norma Kessler and one brother and one sister: Frank Kessler and Rosemary Cain.
Family and friends were received from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. An additional visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Monday, April 1, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 100 Thompson Drive Troy, MO 63379. Funeral Mass was held 10:00 am on Monday, March 31, 2025 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy, MO. Interment washeld at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 31, 2025 at St. Pius Cemetery in Walsh, IL.
