CAROL J. WEHMEYER

Carol Jean Wehmeyer, 86, of Troy, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Lincoln Cty. Nursing and Rehab. She was born on August 23, 1938 in St. Louis to Gerald and Dorothy (Ritchey) Fitzgerald. When growing up, the family lived in California and Missouri due to her father’s work. She was blessed with her five children who were her pride and joy.
¶ Carol was always a hard worker and was very talented. After 18 years of dedicated employment at McDonnell-Douglas Corp, she retired and began babysitting for her grandchildren. She was such a caring, loving, nurturing person to all children. Some of her hobbies included: photography, crocheting, sewing and doll collecting.
¶ Surviving are her loving family members: her devoted soulmate, Ed Wehmeyer; her children: Denny (Cathy) Conoyer, Karen (Mike) Somers, Dottie Conoyer, Ann Brown; bonus family: Mike Wehmeyer(Marva) Chuck Wehmeyer, and Linda Wehmeyer, 27 adoring grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her two sisters: Judy DeVenny, Sharon Crossman, many other relatives and friends.
¶ Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Terry Conoyer and her granddaughter, Ginny Horner, and nephew, Christopher Conder.
¶ Visitation was scheduled from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379 (1-636) 528-8244.
¶ A Funeral service followed at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy location. Rev. Richie Rhea officiated. Private interment at Troy City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: Alzheimers Association or to the Diabetes Association, c/o the funeral home.
