Karen Lee, 76, of Winfield, MO, passed away on May 24, 2025 at Phelps Health Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 25, 1948 in St. Louis, MO to George William and Jane Olive (Bishop) Benner. Karen attended the local schools, along with her two siblings, Sharon and Lawrence “Butch”. She enjoyed fishing, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, crocheting and bingo. Karen and her sister, Sharon always enjoyed crafting together. Her favorite times were spent with her family and friends. Karen is described by her family as “loving, caring, selfless, strong, resilient with a little bit of stubborness”. She will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
 Karen is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Danny Lee of Winfield, MO, children, Mike (Kim) Leonard of Ferguson, MO, Shannon (Matt) Burkemper of Elsberry, MO, step-children, Scott (Tonya Wood) Lee of Wentzville, MO and Nikki (Jeff Supranowich) Lee of St. Charles, MO, siblings, Sharon (Jim) Pesek of Columbia, MO and Lawrence “Butch” Benner of Columbia, MO, grandchildren, Jessica Leonard, Lacyi Kenoyer, Ethan Kenoyer, Corey Lee, Cody Lee and great-grandchild, Oliver Lee, many other relatives, and friends.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, George Benner and Jane Tebeau and her daughter, Sandra Ann Thompson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379, 636-528-8244.
