Elsberry senior crowned Apple Fest Queen

CLARKSVILLE – A Lincoln County resident and senior at Elsberry High School was crowned the Apple Fest Queen last weekend in Clarksville.
Giavanna Smith reached out to the Clarksville pageant committee and inquired about requirements. The actual pageant was held Friday evening at the American Legion Hall. Crowning took place in the Appleshed Saturday morning after the baby contest.

Her parents were in attendance as were Gia’s five siblings.
In addition to the crown, title and banner, Gia was awarded a $100 cash prize and a gift certificate to Jester Graphix in Winfield.
Smith is a senior at Elsberry High School and also attends Pike-Lincoln Technology School, going for her certification in auto collision. This will be her second year at the tech center.
Gia also used her art skills to paint the wall mural for the law enforcement class there, earning an art set from the teachers there.
