PETER RIMERT

Peter Thomas Rimert, 66, of Troy, Missouri, was fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Lincoln in Troy, Missouri. He was born on July 29, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the son of Thomas A. and Arlene (Dicus) Rimert. Pete was united in marriage to the love of his life Jerianne Stroer on April 21, 1979 at the All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peters, Missouri and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
Pete graduated from St. Dominic High School in 1977 and continued his education as a Journeyman. He was a carpenter for over four decades with the Union Local 2119. As well as a millwright and pile driver. Peter earned his 4th Degree with the Millwood Knights of Columbus #2009. Pete liked spending time outdoors, playing golf, fishing and bird hunting. He was always ready to try his luck at the track or casino. Pete was larger than life and could tell some of the best stories. He loved spending time with his family, until it was naptime. Pete valued the time he spent with the love of his life and his family. He would always say “they broke the mold when they made me.”
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jerianne Rimert; two daughters: Rebecca Kate Rimert and Andrea (Matt) Stueck; one son, Jacob Allan Rimert; mother, Arlene Rimert; mother-in-law, Joan Stroer; one sister and two brothers: Lisa (Jim) Highfill, Joseph Rimert and Jon (Karen) Rimert; grandchildren: Jack (Shawna) Norton, Alaina “Allie” Norton, Blake Shepherd, Oliver Rimert and Timothy Rimert; three brothers-in-law: Donnie Stroer, David Stroer and Andy Stroer; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends that became family. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas A. Rimert, mother-in-law, Mary Ann Stroer (Hob Anderson), grandparents, one brother, Timothy Rimert, and brother-in-law, Matt Stroer.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds located at 3 Fairgrounds Circle Troy, MO 63379.
