Margaret Starks
Margaret Louise Calloway Lauritzen Starks passed away Nov. 18, 2024, at the Meadowlands in O’Fallon.
Margaret was born Sept. 11, 1928, to William and Madeline Callaway.
Margaret was a long time school bus drivers and housewife for five children and her husband, Basil.
Margaret loved to play bingo, line dance, play cards and spend time with family. She also loved Yadier Molina, who played for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Her dear family included three daughters: Gail (Dennis) Portwood, Beverly Lauritzen and Debbie (Charles) Crosson; two sons, Butch C. (Christina) Lauritzen and Brian (Jessy) Lauritzen; 10 grandchildren: Sean, Chad, Penny, Terry, Daniel, Jessica, Logan, Derek, Dylan and Deana; 10 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ty, Matthew, Lucille, Elinor, Declan, Dalson, Lily, Charlotte and Jessy; three great-great-grandchildren, Leach, Fletcher and Conner.
Margaret was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Tillman, Oliver and Richard Callaway; one sister, Aleatha Burkhardt; two husbands, Basil Lauritzen and Phil Starks; and one great-greanddaughter, Brandi Lee Portwood.
Margaret was laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis. There was no funeral per Margaret’s request.
