Kathleen “Kathie” Ann Knebel, 80, of Troy, passed away Sunday Dec. 8, 2024 at her residence in Troy. She was born Sept. 6, 1944 in St. Louis and was the daughter of Robert Joseph and Rosemary H. (Kistner) Brand. Kathie married Lawrence Knebel Jan. 31, 1975 in Clayton.

Kathie worked various jobs over her life and took great pride in being a homemaker. In her earlier years she enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends on their boat. Kathie had a true passion for animals. She was great at anything she set her mind to and valued the time she spent at home. Kathie knew how to live life to its fullest and always happy.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Knebel; one sister, Patricia Gulledge (Bob); one stepdaughter, Lorrell M. Hamilton; two step-granddaughters: Ally Cross and Brittany Vaughn; one brother-in-law, Mark Knebel (Ann); several step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews including: Bradford, Amy and Cindy and several friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert J. and Rosemary H. Brand.
