GERALD LEE GUILLIAMS

Gerald “Jerry” Lee Guilliams, 85, of Wright City, Missouri, passed away on January 4, 2025. Born on August 31, 1939, he lived a simple life of working hard, caring for his family, hunting, enjoying the outdoors, and volunteering his time for his community.
Jerry graduated from Ritenour High School in 1957 and dedicated much of his professional life to residential construction, working as a contractor for 40 years. He also owned and operated a harbor for a decade, where he brought his vision and hard work to fruition. Jerry not only worked hard, he also was a passionate outdoorsman and community leader.
He was an avid deer and turkey hunter, a gun enthusiast and collector, and a lifetime horseman. Elk hunting in Montana, shooting in an archery league, horseback riding, taking float trips, and barbecuing ribs and pork steaks were just a few of his hobbies. For many years, his leadership extended to his roles as a Callaway 4-H Club leader and president of the Went◤CO Check hyphenation◢zville Lion’s Club. He also served as a 4-H project leader teaching area youth leathercraft and outdoorsman skills. Notably, through his work with the Lion’s Club, he organized the first float trip and the first hayride & bonfire for students of the Missouri School for the Blind (MSB), highlighting his belief in supporting and empowering young people.
Jerry’s love for storytelling and his jovial personality made him a beloved figure, not only within his family but also across his community. He is survived by his daughters, Debra (Rob) Marchbanks and Diane (Shawn) Saale; grandchildren Dana & Daniel Woodruff and Taylor & Clayton Saale; and sisters, June Goebel and Gail Kraai. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Norma Guilliams; his wife, Sandra Guilliams; brothers, Robert and Gary Guilliams; and his uncle, Howard Horrell.
A memorial service at Pitman Funeral Home in Warrenton is planned for Friday, January 24, 2025. Visitation is from 12:30-1:30 pm. The Memorial Service will be at 1:30 p.m., followed by a celebration at one of his favorite places, Cori’s Twin Gables in Marthasville, MO. Everyone is welcome.
