Stephen Allen Klopstein, 84, of Hawk Point, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at his residence in Hawk Point, Missouri. He was born on July 23, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri and was the son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Baum) Klopstein.
Steve was dedicated to the Chesterfield Fire Protection District from 1969 until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the Firefighters IAFF #2665. After his retirement he enjoyed the time he spent on his farm, raising cattle and farming. He was a down-to-earth person and was always there to help when needed.
Steve is survived by his one son and two daughters: Stephen Paul Klopstein and wife Kimberly of St. Charles, MO, Patricia C. Loftus and husband Jerry of Alaska and Leslie Rothrock and husband Bill of Chesterfield, MO; one brother, Leo Klopstein; he had eight grandchildren: Andrew, Rachel, Ashley, Jared, Hannah, Sam, Mary and Jack; nieces, nephews, cousins and his adopted family with the Chesterfield Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Dorothy Klopstein; one granddaughter, Hannah; two brothers: Timothy and Paul; aunts and uncles.
Family and friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Hawk Point, Missouri. Firefighters honors to be rendered at completion of service.
