ECGA launches summer concert series

ELSBERRY – The Elsberry Community Growth Association kicked off the 8th Annual concert season on Saturday, with a large crowd enjoying Serapis.
Vendors were on sight with items available, while families and the community enjoyed the free evening event. The ECGA recognized the Elsberry-Silex girls soccer team after they captured the State 1A title the previous weekend.
The band is a group that debuted in 1982 at The Festival of the Little Hills in St. Charles and is still playing four decades later. The group plays a mix of musical genres that includes rock, reggae, swing, blues, funk, americana and pop all stitched together with original to give audiences something new to discover at teach stop on what is such a fun musical odyssey.
The lead singer for Serapis, Tony Chambers, has relatives in the community, with many attending to watch his performance.

The next concert will be on Saturday July 5, with the return of Infringement to the stage.
