TROY – The Lincoln County Missouri Auxiliary Communications Association (LCACA) will be hosting an amateur radio operator event Saturday in Troy.

From 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Duck Pond in Fairgrounds Park, amateur radio enthusiasts will be participating in the 2025 Field Day.

According to organizers, this year’s theme is “Radio Connects.”

The public is invited to come watch how amateur radio brings communities together, supports emergency readiness, promotes STEM, and fosters real human connection.

Everyone’s invited to join in hands-on demos, family-friendly activities, youth engagement, and more.

In addition, attendees can participate in supervised opportunities to get on the air and make contacts on-site.

Information on obtaining a HAM license will also be available.
