JOSEPH DOLL

 Joseph W. Doll, Sr., 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. He was born November 18, 1934 in St. Louis, MO to Wilfred, Sr. and Dorothy (Jensen) Doll. The family lived in St. Louis for Joe’s first nine years and then moved to Hawk Point. Joe attended St. Mary’s Catholic school in Hawk Point and Buchanan High School in Troy.
 Joe met Linda Thompson when she was in high school; he was driving past her and thought she was the prettiest girl he’d ever seen. When Joe was home on leave from serving in the U.S. Army, he proposed to Linda. After his honorable discharge from the service, they were married on June 7, 1958 at St. Mary’s Church in Hawk Point. They were married for 62 years before Linda passed away in 2020.
 To this union were born four children: Joe Jr., Frank, Brenda and Pat. Joe worked as a mechanic for several auto dealerships in Troy. On April 1, 1960, he and his father opened Doll’s Garage & Equipment Co. in Hawk Point. His brother would later join the business.
 He and his family were members of St. Mary’s Church in Hawk Point and Joe helped whenever needed. In his early years, he enjoyed stock car racing. Later he participated in demolition derbies and tractor pulls. Hunting with his sons, grandsons and granddaughters was a favorite pastime of his. He enjoyed hunting trips to Wyoming, South Dakota and Colorado. Joe and Linda also loved to go dancing, and enjoyed several memorable vacations with friends. Joe was a good provider for his family, instilling in each of his kids the value of hard work; he took excellent care of each and every one of them.
 Surviving are his loving family members: his three sons: Joe (Tammy) Doll, Jr., of Hawk Point, Frank (Dianne) Doll of Hawk Point, Pat (Brenda) Doll of Hawk Point, and his daughter Brenda (Craig) Haugen of Lohman. He is further survived by his 10 grandchildren: Joe (Lauren) Doll III, Meghan (Matt) Usery, Kimmie Doll (fiancé Joe York), Andy (Amanda) Doll, Luke (Amy) Doll, Mark (Brittany) Doll, Cole (Elizabeth) Haugen, Dane (Ana) Haugen, Morgan Doll and Jake (Isabella) Doll; 15 great-grandchildren: Kylie Jo, Beau, Lexi, Neva, Mathias, Jillian, Claire, Chloe, Caroline, Hudson, Nikolas, Emma, Wyatt, Waylon and Henry. Joe is also survived by his brother Wilfred (Sharon) Doll, Jr. and sister Patsy (David) Myers, and many other relatives and friends.
 He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda; his sister Mary Goetz and brother-in-law Larry Goetz.
 Visitation was scheduled from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at the McCoy Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379 (1-636-528-8244).
 A Mass of Christian burial wasat 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at St. Mary’s Church in Hawk Point, with Father Edward Godefroid officiating. Inter­ment followed at Hawk Point City Cemetery.
 Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to St. Mary’s Church in Hawk Point.
