Four elected to Cuivre River Electric Co-op board

TROY – Members of Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) elected four board members to CREC’s Board of Directors at their annual meeting Aug. 28, held at the co-op’s headquarters in Troy.
In the four districts with seats open, the three incumbents who chose to run for re-election were selected by members for new three-year terms, continuing their service to the cooperative. Jeff Geisendorfer was re-elected in Lincoln County District 2. Diane Saale was re-elected to St. Charles County District 2, Walt Gregory was re-elected to Pike County, and in Warren County District 1, a new Board director, Jeff Culbertson, was elected.
This year’s election brought in a total of 2,106 votes, with 2,098 from online voting and three mail-in ballots before CREC’s annual meeting Aug. 28. Five ballots were cast in person at the meeting.

Following the annual meeting, free electricity prizes were awarded. Survey & Ballot Systems, the third-party company that handles CREC’s election, randomly drew winners from those members who had voted in the election, either absentee or at the meeting. This year’s winners of free electricity are: Mike Schloeman, $1,500; Kimberly Gilbert, $500 Melissa Moody, $500; Pamela Koehler, $250; and Larry A Lehmkuhl, $250.
In addition, 12 more members each won a free month of electricity (up to $200 in value): Chelsea Anderson, September 2025; Julie Mcdaniel, October 2025; Joseph Allen, November 2025; David Taubig, December 2025; Ira Chandler, January 2026; Maureen Levan, February 2026; Anthony Davis, March 2026; Jeffrey Degrendele, April 2026; Alexa Shumate, May 2026; Qiaoyi Wang, June 2026; Diane Dinwiddie, July 2026; and Lee Ann Daming, August 2026.
