Cameron man arrested for molesting niece in her Troy home

TROY – Law enforcement arrested a Cameron man on a year-old Lincoln County grand jury indictment accusing him of sexually molesting his niece.
According to court records, Lenard Crabtree Jr., 59, faces two Class A felony charges of child molestation in the first degree.
After his arrest Wednesday, he remains in custody in the Lincoln County jail on a $100,000 cash only bond.
The grand jury indictment issued in April of 2024 alleges Crabtree sexually molested his niece at her Troy home in 2023. Court records indicate the victim was under the age of 14 at the time of the assault.
Crabtree is scheduled to make an initial appearance before Associate Court Judge Michael Jacobs Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Troy. He’s also scheduled to be arraigned on the charges by Circuit Court Judge James Beck Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 9 a.m.
