 Funeral Services for Stephen Daniel Burks of Lake Saint Louis, MO was at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Pastor Mark Griffith, Jr., pastor of Element Church in Wentzville, MO, officiated.
 Steve, 56, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 in Affton, MO. Born December 8, 1968 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Bobby Gene and Barbara Ann Lindsey Burks. Raised in the Winfield community, Steve was a 1988 graduate of Winfield High School.
 Steve loved sports, music NASCAR and fishing. Enjoyed playing softball himself and later found great joy in watching his son and grandson play baseball, always their biggest fan in the stands. Music was another lifelong love he was a talented drummer who played in several local bands, sharing his rhythm and energy with friends and the community. Steve spent many years working as a Shipping and Receiving clerk, most recently he was employed by the Nu Calgon in Maryland Heights, MO.
 Steve was united in marriage on March 10, 2007 in St. Peters, MO to Cathleen Jennifer Pugh. Above all was most proud of being a father. He was blessed with four children: Alyssa, Jeff, Mackenzie and Cash, who brought immeasurable joy and purpose to his life.
 Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Burks on May 3, 2007.
 Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Cathleen “Cathi” Burks of Lake St. Louis; two sons: Jeff Burks and his wife, Kaitlyn, of Silex, MO, and Cash Burks of Lake St. Louis; two daughters: Alyssa Gremaud and her husband, Brent, of Old Monroe, MO, and Macken­zie Hall of Lake St. Louis and her fiancé Braden Rowe; and two grandchildren: Tate Burkemper and Carter Burks. He also leaves his father, Bobby Gene Burks of Winfield; one brother, Michael Gene Burks and his wife, Erin, of Troy MO and their three sons; one sister, Jill Diane Bueneman and her husband, Mat, of Old Monroe and their son, daughter-in-law, and daughter, as well as a great-nephew; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
 Visitation was from 1:00 p.m. until time of the Service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
