JOHN LITTLETON

 John Wesley Littleton, 83, of Troy, Mo, went home to The Lord on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of George and Elizabeth (Kendrick) Littleton. John was born on January 27, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo.
 John graduated from Buchanan High in 1960, where he played varsity basketball and ran track. While John was attending college he was drafted into the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany. After he was honorably discharged, John’s entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and he founded and opened his shop-Afro Art Arama located at Natural Bridge and Taylor Avenues in midtown St. Louis, Mo. As a businessman, this shop was his true passion, and he designed much of the jewelry, statues and dashikis that were hand­crafted in his shop. His successful and popular busi­ness was well known and supported by the community for more than a decade from 1970’s to the 1980’s.
 After closing his business, John started another career teaching Vocational Education classes at Vashon High School in St. Louis. He also taught at the nationally known Job Corps in California.
 John had a deep love and commitment to his family and friends, and he was always willing to help. He believed in God and was very thankful for his family.
 He is survived by his daughter, Faith Littleton Jones; son, Jade Wesley Littleton; brother, Larry Littleton and sister, Jane Littleton, both of Troy, MO; special nephew and caregiver, Kevin Henderson; neph­ews, Michael Chavis and Keilan Littleton both of St. Louis. John is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins, the Sadberry family and the Love family. Several special and wonderful friends: Ben Hudson and his wife, Deborah; including Elizabeth Flynn and Iris Lorielle Booker; and nurse Nikki “CeCe” McKinney.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth Littleton, two brothers: Dr. George K. Littleton and Dr. Arthur C. Littleton and one sister, Jean M. Littleton.
 Family and friends will be received from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, MO. Interment will be held in Troy City Cemetery, with full military honors.
