Betty Cox
Funeral services for Betty Jean Colbert Cox of Troy, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 at Carter- Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Jack Gillespie, pastor of Old Alexandria United Methodist Church near Troy, will officiate with burial in Star Hope cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Colbert-Kelly, Steve Colbert, Frank Colbert, Robbie Hamlett, Chris Kelly, Graham Leslie and Grant Dorrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Max Colbert-Lenk, Waylon Colbert-Pruitt and Jackson Mark Colbert.

Madonna E. Zoellner (nee Boul) passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024 at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 14 days.

Pamela “Pam” Byington
Pamela "Pam" Byington, 64, of Silex, passed away Dec. 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 25, 1960 in Peoria, Ill. to Kenneth McDonald Sr. and Shirley (Ennis) Dugan. Pam attended the local schools along with her siblings. She and her husband, Glenn were united in marriage Sept. 5, 2003 in Troy. Pam was employed with Normandy Machine Company going on 30 years. Pam was well respected for her sense of humor and being a straight shooter. She was also known for her selflessness, kindness and giving spirit. Pam loved spending time with family and friends and she was often known as the glue that kept everyone together. Pam had many hobbies and talents. Some of her favorites included restoring furniture, baking, gardening/plants, painting and crafting. There was not a craft she could not master within a few minutes. Pam will be deeply missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
