James “Ed” Colbert, 71, of Old Monroe, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jan. 11, 1953 in Pocahontas, Ark. to James and Melba (Collins) Colbert.

Betty Wilcockson

Betty Wilcockson, 85, of Troy, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Troy. She was born Sept. 5, 1939 in Jonesboro, Ark. to Elvis and Mary (Barber) Beck. Betty grew up with her six siblings on a farm and knew what sharing and thinking of others meant. For a short time, the family relocated to Illinois and the entire family worked in an apple orchard. They later moved back to Walnut Ridge, Ark. on a farm.

Rickey Woodall

Rickey "Rick" Woodall, 76, of Troy, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Troy. He was born Nov. 13,1948 in St. Louis to Floyd and Betty J. (Whiteside) Woodall. The family lived in St. Louis and later relocated to Foristell. After graduating from high school, he joined the workforce. Rick helped his father at their business, Superior T.V. in Foristell. At the age of 20, he was called to serve in the U.S. Army Sept. 17, 1969. After his honorable discharge April 20, 1971, he enlisted in the National Guard and served until Sept. 16, 1975. It was during this time that he was introduced to his future bride, Karen Wommack, by his mother. The couple was married April 29, 1972 at Old Alexandria United Methodist Church in Troy. To this union were born three daughters: Shelly, Sheila and Stacy. About 30 years ago, the Woodall family moved to Troy and settled in their new home. Rick worked for many years at Hoods Discount Home Center, retiring after many years of dedicated work. Some of his pastimes included riding his motorcycle, hunting and visiting VFW members in Elsberry. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

Herbert Anthony Mense Jr.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Herbert Anthony Mense Jr., age 74, of Old Monroe, Missouri, who peacefully left this world on December 8, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Herb devoted his life to his family, his faith, and his work, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and dedication.
